ACI has carried out cultural resource inventories, surveys, and monitoring in support of energy projects in various sectors including; Solar and Wind, Exploration, Extraction, Generation, Transmission.

For example, ACI has worked with oil exploration firms and the National Park Service to develop predictive models for archaeological sites in south Florida. For one such project, ACI developed a predictive model and then conducted a cultural resource assessment survey of approximately 77,440 acres, shovel testing in 231 zones of archaeological potential (ZAPs) and conducting supplemental testing of low probability areas throughout the study area.

ACI also conducts desktop analysis and archaeological survey for a variety of energy projects from new and replacement utility lines to solar projects for Florida Power and Light. Survey strategy is refined to meet the project needs in coordination with guidance from the lead FPL archaeologist.
